The Village of Oak Park is a strong advocate for caring for our planet and, as a part of that mission, they recognize the efforts of businesses that are good stewards of the environment by presenting them with a Green Award. Oak Park Apartments is proud to say that we have been awarded the VOP’s Green Award for a second time!
As a company we have been committed to being “green” for the twenty eight years we have been in business.
Over those twenty eight year’s OPA’s greening initiatives include the upgrading and installation of energy efficient windows, the use of compact fluorescent light bulbs, low flow toilets, energy efficient appliances, water saving shower heads and sink faucets, cellulose roof insulation, new, computerizing heating systems, as well as supporting various community recycling programs and promoting ways tenants can individually make positive environmental life choices through our social media sites.
All of these upgrades not only conserve our Earth’s natural resources but they enhance the overall quality of living in our vintage properties for our tenants. These historic apartments are better equipped to continue to provide renters with a quality place to call home for many more years into the future – which is also a great way to be green!
