OakParkApartments.com is excited because Oak Park’s Sculpture Walk is set to officially kick off its’ fourth summer right here in our very own Chicago Avenue business district!
Twelve sculptures have been installed on both the North and South sides of Chicago Avenue from Austin Boulevard to Ridgeland Avenue and boy do they already have people stopping, looking, talking, smiling and picture taking! Our Avenue is abuzz with artistic excitement!
The sculptures themselves are amazing works of art that have been constructed from a variety of materials; steel, wood, granite, recycled objects plus a healthy dose of creativity, by both accomplished and novice artists who were selected to participate in this event by a juried competition.
These works of art are here until September 7th so grab a brochure from the Visitor’s Center, one of Oak Park’s libraries or online and take a stroll up and down Chicago Avenue and make sure to enjoy this eclectic art exhibit!
